General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to local infection like decayed teeth or pharyngitis.

Consult a general practitioner and start a short course of antibiotics. Generally it will settle in a couple of days with antibiotics.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
