Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have swollen glands in my neck, under my jaw bone. I have soreness in my right shoulder blade. Roof and parts of the sides of my mouth appear yellow and I have redness in my throat as well as a periodic sore throat. Scale of 1-10 for sore throat pain is a 1-1/2. I m a Realtor, I come in contact with people and surroundings of all types.
It looks like infection in your throat and glands causing the symptoms of swollen lymph nodes, redness in throat and yellowness in roof of mouth..
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a throat and oral swab culture should be done..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, Azithromycin etc, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and start doing warm saline gargles.. You should start gargling with antiseptic mouthwash to reduce infection.. Drink plenty of warm water and take soft foods..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
