What Do Swelling And Redness Around The Eyes Indicate?

I have been having off and on swelling above and below my eyes with redness. When it starts, it stings. Cannot think of anything that triggers it. Happens about every 2 weeks. It was swollen and red last week and was put on Prednisone. Took the last dose yesterday and it is starting to come back. This has been going on about 2 yrs, but is getting more frequent. Sometimes I also have a sore tounge and red patches in the roof of my mouth and in my bucal area. These spot don t hurt, but I tell their there.

Hello,

It can be inflammatory or allergic lesion. For noninflammatory broad-spectrum systemic antibiotic has to be taken if prednisolone taken, then it will mask the symptoms but will create dependency and masking of doses is required for controlling complication. Boroglycerine can applied. Warm saline mouth wash will be beneficial it can be arthus ulcer Kenacort ointment can be applied.
