What Do Sore Knot On Head And Painful Eye Indicate?
I lost my balance and fell back towards a stanchion pole that ended up striking me in the back of the head really hard. The knot has went down but my head is still store and my right eye is bothering me a little. Should I visit the Er? It happened two days ago.
Since you have developed sore knot on the head after you fell, it can be due to tiny blood vessels under the skin from where blood leaks out into the surrounding tissue that may cause the swelling or soreness. To ease discomfort you can apply ointment Thrombophob on the area affected to reduce blood clots and swelling. Take acetaminophen, one SOS after food to ease pain. Since you have painful eyes you are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT to detect any major trauma, injury, vision differences or vision problems.
Your treating ENT will treat you with eye drops / oral medicines or a new pair of glasses or recommend surgery of required. For knot and soreness in the head get CT/MRI done to rule out any major trauma or injury that may require treatment. This is to stay on the safer side.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
