What Do Pus Cells In Urinalysis Imply?

good morning, i am lerian 21 years old and i just want ask what is the implication of my puss cells in urine which is equivalent to 4-6. i am worried for the coming internship because some says that it is in danger, according to them the pus cells should b zero, which is which? please help me. thank u

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have done your routine urine test which revealed presence of 4-6 pus cells.

Presence of 4-6 pus cells is suggestive of urinary tract infection.(UTI).

Urine analysis in a normal individual always shows 1-2 pus cells.So presence of 4-6 pus cells is not dangerous at all and suggest mild UTI.

There is nothing to be worried about it at all.This can be cured by taking urinary antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin twice daily for 5 days and urine alkaliser twice daily.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
