Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has what I think is a vein pulse in the outside of his knee when he is sitting with his legs straight and propped up on a coffee table. You can see it pulsing under the skin. When he moves his leg it is still there as long as his legs are straight. When he bends his knee it goes away or can t be seen.

What Do Pulsations On The Knees Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. If pulsations are there it s due to arterial not venous because they don t have pulsatile features vein just dilated and engorged. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
