Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 15 year old son has a rash that first occurred about 2 months ago, but It wasn t too bad, but then got worse so I took him to Urgent Care and they gave him a 5 day steroid pack and they seemed to be doing better, but now that he finished the prescription, the rash has come back and my son says that they feel like little glass cuts. The UC physician said he was not sure what the rash was and said to contact a dermatologist if the rash returned. He did say he did not feel it was contagious. the rash seems to present more when he is exercising or playing sports.

If the rash is more present when he is exercising or playing sports it could be heat rash . In this case the treatment consists in steroidal creams for local relief. Also, cool shower can help in this case.
