What Do Pain And Pressure In The Lower Back Indicate?

I am feeling pain and pressure in my lower back and lower belly on my right side. I thought it was a kidney infection, my family doctor said it was a pulled muscle! It feels almost as though I am carrying around a large rock on that side. It hurts when in the process of sitting or standing. It goes from a dull ache to a sharper pain whenever I move. I have had a kidney infection and I have dealt with ovarian cysts but whatever this is, it is far worse than either of those and it s quite concerning. I ve tried ibuprofen and cranberry juice just in case and it hasn t made a difference. What could I be looking at here?

You need expert physician's consultation and investigations to pin point the cause. It can be-
- kidney infection/stone/a spinal or disc problem with possible nerve irritation to cause muscle pull.
-it can be some mass in abdominal cavity itself.

Till you see a doctor, take rest and do not massage or foment. Instead, you can use ice pack. Over the counter pain medicine (Voveran, Dicloran) maybe taken, when pain is unbearable.
