Good morning, I came home from work last night and sat down on a kitchen stool that has metal bars near the feet area. I am not sure how I was sitting but usually I rest my front part of the ankle against the metal. I was sitting for about 15 minutes and when I stood up, My calf area felt numbness and the inner ankle bone area had swelled to the size of maybe a ping pong ball.It was quite painful to walk. I sat down and elevated my foot and applied ice for comfort. When I woke this morning, the swelling exists and I feel discomfort when standing. Do I need to be concerned about this or could I have done something when it is was pressed against the foot rest as my leg was hanging downward.
