What Do My Pelvis, Transabdominal And Transvaginal Ultrasound Scan Test Results Indicate?

I am a 36 year old who has a history of Rheumatoid Arthritis, and is tryint to get pregnant. I had a Ultrasound pelvis, transabdominal and transvaginal. previously diagnosed with ovarian cyst. the findinds show: the uterus measures 9.1 cm in length and is heterogenous with 9mm submucosal anterior leiomyoma stable. endometrial canal thickness 7mm. The right ovary measures 3.5x1.8x2.3 cm in size with 1.9 cyst essentially stable since the prior exam. The left ovary measures 2.5x1.1x1.9 cm and is Normal. Previously described large left ovarian cyst is no longer evident. There is no free fluid in the cul-de-sac. Imression: Small anterior leiomyoma stable, stable small right ovarian cyst Nonvisualization of the previously described large left ovarian cyst. what does all that mean? will I have a difficult time getting pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
Welcome to HCM,
I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue.

As per your ultrasound report shows a small Ovarian cyst and a small fibroid less than 1cm.

Most of the ovarian cysts regress itself.
No treatment required. Because most of them are asymptomatic.
In some cases they case pain which can be treated with the use of simple painkillers like Acetaminophen.

As about fibroid its tiny 9mm,If there is no symptom like heavy menstural bleeding or pressure on your lower abdomin.
then do not worry about it. But if there is any symptom then i would advise you to visit Gynaecologist.

If you have a regular menstural cycle then there will be no difficulty.
For that, I would advise you to go for Hormone test like FSH & LH on second day of you menstural cycle. And pelvic ultrasound on 12 day of your cycle for ovum size (Folicular Tracking).
The main thing which you have to do is that, just go for follow up Ultrasounds. Nothing to do with the cyst and fibroid if they are not causing any symptom.

Hope so it will be helpful.
You can write again in case of any query or follow up.
Wish you good health.
