Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Ive had a Left Knee Medial Patello-Femoral Ligament Reconstruction from my first Orthopedic 2 years ago. Im currently still having trouble with my knee, with pain and discomfort. Ive had this looked at from another Orthopedic and had an MRI done. had found a Cyst in my knee between the knee cap and the other bones and also access hard fluid. Im now needing key hole surgery to move it. My question is was I suppose to get another MRI or type of scan done after my operation? And would me favoring my right leg with my body weight harm my right knee? As im now having trouble with pain and discomfort in this knee. I have a copy of my MRI for my left knee if needed.
What's your age, weight and height. No need for any scan after the operation. After the recovery period, you should start exercises to strengthen your muscles like quadriceps, VMO, calf muscles etc. You should not give preference to any side of the knee after the recovery period.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Rajshree Agrawal, General & Family Physician
