What Do My MRI Scan Test Results Indicate?

My father s age is 70 (mashAllah), he used to have back ache and numbness in legs. I get his MRI done and this was the conclusion of MRI. Mild central disc protrusion at D6 slightly abutting the dorsal cord. Diffuse circumferential disc bulge at L2-3, 3-4, 4-5 and L5-S1, severely narrowing the lateral recesses. Lumbar canal stenosis at L3-4 and L4-5. Can you please suggest me the solution of this issue

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your father has numbness due to nerve compression following his spinal issues.

Such a problem can be treated with oral or locally injectable medicines/physiotherapy/surgery in few adverse cases. Please see a spinal surgeon for more specific advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
