What Do Lumps On The Soles Of The Feet Indicate?

I have noticed several nodules under my skin at the bottom of my legs. They do not hurt. I can just see them when I look down around the bottom of my legs and it looks bumpy. One area around my ankle is starting to turn purple. There are also some, what look like little pebbles, underneath my skin on the top of my hands.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your description, the lumps are most probably plantar warts. They won't cause any problems and you can consider removing them, if they are painful and cause problems while walking. You can either go for cauterization or laser therapy. Consult a dermatologist in case any symptoms arises.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
