Hi , my 8 year old son has fever from 22 days . diagnosed with low grade Thyphiod. After 10days of antibiotics, tests were done again . Thypohid was negative. Antibiotics were stopped .Fever persisted (twice a day). All tests were done again twice including blood culture , ultrasound chest xray- nothing in the reports . clinically no other evidence in the patient . WBC low and high ESR. what should we do?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, febrile condition up to 22 days is very unlikely and if it so then it needs several investigations, first complete temperature chart of every two hours, endocrine test, hormone profile test, MRI of whole body, if the body temperature go above 100 F then it need to be given "Acetaminophen" hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
