What Do Hard Bumps On The Forehead Of A Child Indicate?

Hello, My son is 6 and had a hard bump to his forehead today. We used a cold compress on it and the large egg certainly became alot smaller. Now the lump in the middle of his forehead is a little squishy to touch - is this normal and to be expected ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

At the very first, the bump was felt hard. Most probably due to any hit to any object. Now, after applying cold compresses it became smaller in size and a little squishy to touch. That's what we expect, normally indicating that is healing.

Continue applying cold compresses for the first couple of days. If it will persist after one week, should consult further with his pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
