Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Pain during menstruation is suggestive of dysmenorrhea which can be managed by anti-spasmodic drugs. Spotting can be due to irregular periods. You may observe your periods for few months. If the irregularity still continues, then you may consult your gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
