What Do Black Spots In The Labia Indicate?

Hello, I ve had just discovered about 6 tiny thin pencil dark (blackish/purple/grey) spots inside the inner layer of my Libia . These do not hurt, itch, they are not bumpy, or rough in anyway. I m 26 years old and I have never been sexually active. I recently had a UTI and I was wondering if there is anything I should be highly concerned about (aka pre-signs of cancer). I had made a doctors appointment , however , I just need a peace of mind . My family does have a lot of freckles and moes on their bodies as well as do I . There has been no family history of cervical or Vulva cancer . Thank you for your time .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Small Balck spots are quite common on the skin. They are very unlikely to be any cancerous especially if there are multiple.

So you should not worry about cancer here. However, let's your doctor see it as what may be the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
