What Do Bibasal Bronchovascular Markings On Test Results Suggest?

After exrays for visa purposes the results were listed with several things for my husband. One was bibasal bronchovascular markings which may be secondary to paribronchial thickening. A second one was linear fibrosis of the left lower lobe ?secondary to passive atelectasis. I was trying to look these conditions up to see what they were.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is prominent broncos and vascular marking in both the lung bases - probably due to the thickening.
2.The thickening occurs due to the inflammatory changes in bronchitis.
3.Linear fibrotic bands are evidence of previous infective / healed process.
4.Due to this the congestion caused vascular prominence.
5.In this case for better confirmatory evidence you can get a CT thorax to rule out any serious issue, And a course of antibiotics for the present inflammatory changes. Good Luck.

Hope i have answered your query,
