What Do A Bruised Patellar Tendon And Some Fluid In The Kneecap According To An MRI Report Suggest?

Hello, I injured my knee at work about 10 weeks ago. I finally received my MRI results today. My patellar tendon is bruised and there is some fluid in the kneecap. How long should the pain when I stepped down every time last in the front and back of my knee? And should I stop using the cane if I m still having pain? Thanks

Hi,

I have gone through the MRI report you have mentioned. This report is not worrisome but you need immobilization of knee for proper healing.
You should rest for at least 2-3 weeks so that your bruised patella and fluid can be healed.
You will definitely improve after proper immobilization. If you don't rest, this might further worsen.

Hope I have answered your query.
