General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* There are specific tests as PCR and others to reveal the diagnosis of drug-resistant tuberculosis.
* A tissue biopsy is always favorable for the better management of the tuberculosis cases as per the surgical evaluation and decisions of the treating physician.
* Associated abdomen infection has to be ruled out of tuberculosis origin first and later management with antibiotics and supportive treatment can be figured out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
