What Could The Statement 'Flattened Closure Of The Mitral Valve Leaflets' In An ECG Indicate?

I got results from my echocardiogram in the mail. While I am not overly concerned since there was no urgency (phone call), I am curious about the meaning of a phrase: "There is flattened closure of the mitral valve leaflets." It is ambiguous to a layperson who has no understanding of whether or not this is normal or if it differs from what is considered normal. Can you help me to negotiate this phrasing, please?
Thanks,
Asia

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, Mitral valve are physically have little cup like structure the concave shape is towards down side because of the infection this cuplike position greatly affected that made the valve flatten ( Stiff, hard) this hardening cause the valve to close improperly, this is some what very slang word here that have been used "Flattened closure" and condition is better seen in echo, take care and have nice day.
