What Could Tender Lower Ribs Suggest?

My left, lower ribs have been tender to touch about a week. No pain unless touched or I lay on L side. Doesn t hurt taking deep breath. Painful rising from bed but ok after up and moving. Should I get X-ray for possible cracked rib or just give more time?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query in my opinion it is muscular pain. Rest and analgesics(diclofenac/ ibuprofen) is its treatment. Avoid long continuous standing.Sit in a straight posture.Eat milk, fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. You are worried about tenderness and suspecting that you got fracture.whether you got injured ?, if yes the how you got injured? Without injury fracture generally do not occur. However you can get your x xay done exclude other causes.Consulting with treating doctor is advised. I think your query answered.
