What Could Taste Of Blood In Mouth With Bloody Mucus Saliva Mean?

I woke up with the taste of blood in my mouth. No running blood but when I went to the sink and spit, blood and mucus came out. I was fine throughout the day at work today, although I didn t try to spit again to see what came out, but when I got home and spit in the sink again more bloody mucus came out. Is this normal?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The taste of blood with bloody mucous saliva can be because of the gum infection which results in bleeding from gums. The other possible cause can be because of the respiratory tract infection. Consult a oral physician and get it evauated. If it is because of gum infection, get your teeth cleaned. If it is a respiratory tract infection, consult a pulmonologist.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
