What Could Spreading Brown Patches Around The Shaft Of Penis Indicate?

I have brown patches on my penis around the shaft of my penis it started like 8 years ago as a small brown mark now its spreading all the way around my penis shaft i know you have to get tested to find out what is but do you have any idea what it could be
