What Could Severe Pain In Neck While Having Broken Vertebrae Mean?

I was in a bad car wreck and broke 3 vertebraes in my neck. I didn t have surgery. Its been almost 6 years Christmas eve 2008 when it happened and i am a housekeeper at a hotel and I have severe pain in my neck but the Dr s i see says that cant find anything wrong but they can see where the vertebraes where broke. What could be causing me so much pain if no Mir or xray shows anything?

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are having pain in the neck. It is likely to be muscular pain or disc prolapse as your x rays are normal. Treatment of both the conditions are rest and analgesic. In disc prolapse pain is more severe so strong analgesic such as tramadol may be required but in muscular pain ibuprofen is sufficient. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
