What Could Pressure And Pain In Kneecap Post Physical Activity Indicate?
When I go running or do anything that is inclined or declined in a sudden movement. the next day or later on in that day my kneecap feels like it has pressure under it I don t exactly know what to do and it hurts I thought that maybe I needed to Crack it. maybe there is air in there but when I kneel down it feels like there s a lot of pressure and to the point I can t stand back up I have to sit down and straighten my leg.
As per my clinical experience, the severe pressure and pain in the knee cap indicates underlying issue of surrounding architectural changes like damage to cruciate ligament (ant / post) medial or lateral lemniscus injury joint space narrowing or foreign body inside
Guidelines at present: - Local application of heating pad - Wise use of diclofenac, capsaicin, linseed oil based gel or ointment - Control of body weight - Blood sugar maintenance The MRI of the knee is best needed for further necessary guidelines.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
