What Could Persistent High BP With Pounding Head And Shoulder Indicate?

My BP is staying so high 199-230 over 99-129. I keep a pounding in my head and shoulders ache and I just feel like a knife thru my back on the left side. It has been going on for about 2-3 mo. My doctor has had me on as many as 5 BP meds at a time but it seemed that the more meds I take the higher it has gotten. I stopped everything except Clonidine and it is trying to stay somewhat lower with just the one med. I am looking for another doctor also. What is doing this? I eat right I have lost over 70 lbs and things are just crazy with the BP now.

Hello,

The symptoms are typical of high blood pressure. As the blood pressure is very much elevated, additional anti hypertensives may be required.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
