I can understand your concern after going through your concern.
Mid line neck swelling moving with swallowing may be due to -
1)
Thyroid swelling - it do not move with tongue movement.
2)
Thyroglossal cyst - it also move with tongue movement.
I would like to advise you to
consult general surgeon for detailed examination.
Following test will help in diagnosis and decision taking-
1)
Ultrasonography of neck.
2) T3, T4, TSH.
3)
Complete blood count.
Depending upon clinical examination and above test result there may be need for FNAC (Fine needle aspiration cytology), thyroid scan.
Once diagnosis is confirmed appropriate treatment can be planned.
For thyroglossal cyst surgical removal need to be done.
For thyroid swelling treatment depends on presence of hypo or hyper functioning of thyroid gland, ultrasonography and FNAC report.
