Dear new onset severe headache should be taken seriously specially if it is associated with dizziness . You have not mentioned whether it was associated with any nausea or vomiting . It may be because of accelerated hypertension or some intracranial pathology that we must rule out . because with of these are dangerous for life.if it is not it may be because of migraine or tension headache or some eye problems such as glaucoma . We can't find out what was exact cause of your headache with this much of information . So I would like to suggest you that you must consult your physician for proper history and examination . If needed he can advise you for MRI brain.hope this will help. I don't think there is any correlation between such severe headache and lumps that you have noticed . But again I would like to emphasise that you consult your physician .
