What Could Explain Tingling Sensation In Legs?

I have tingling in my legs not particularly beginning at the top of my leg or in my calf - could be either. Having just turned 70 (female, in pretty good shape), tight jeans are not the problem! I wish! Mostly my leg(s) tingle when I get up in the morning ....my right leg more than my left. but it could start in my calf or near my hip. I have some residual effects from polio (left leg) I had as a child of 5. In iron lung, etc. I think this may be a circulation problem? I am active but do not have a genuine routine at the moment. My summer activities are swimming (every week), walking, recumbent bike. Stretching, floor exercises are part of my daily routine (plus some mild yoga). Any idea why this would be happening? Have a desk job, but run around some during the day....Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello, tingling sensation down to your legs can arise from lower back. Lumbar spondylosis is common at your age which can pinch the nerves. Could also be due circulatory(vascular) problem, or if you are a diabetic its a common problem. Either ways you need to get physically examined by a orthopaedician or a neurophysician/surgeon to diagnose it rightly and treat the same. Take care.
