dear doctor after periods of aug were finished on 19 aug that is from 12 to19 aug i had un protected sex with my husband on 21 aug morn bcaz i was not taking my bc pills during this month and but on the same day of 21aug evening i took unwanted 72 thinking that my dates of september month would come normally on before or after 12 sep but its more than a week late i did not got my dates of sep i also checked with home preg test twice on 15 sep and on 19 sep both times i was negative what could be the reason i am confused plz help

hi,the emergency contraceptive pills sometimes causes hormonal imbalance and hence irregular periods.since your upt is negative twice it is nothing to worry.take tab devry 10 mg twice a day for 5 days and then within a week you will get your periods.all the best and take care.
