What Could Continued Low Grade Fever In A Child Be?

Hello, I have an 11 year old son who has came home from school for the past 7 days. I can tell that he is running a fever by his eyes and the color of his cheeks. The fever is low 99.4 and will only last for a few hours. I have checked his temp during the day and he is fine. He has no other symptoms. Just wondering what this could be.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Exposure to severe heat during this summer season will cause such symptoms.
Keep the boy at home in a cool atmosphere.
You may give sponging with cold water.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
