Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have constant hip pain in the lower part of the hip. On the right side below my bottom. There is a ball and socket and it feels like its in there. I had a cortisone shot. It didn t do anything. I have been in physical therapy for 4 weeks 2x per week. It seemed to get a little better, but then I played tennis today and ran sideways and sort of slipped and it seemed to jam and i had to sit down and take weight off of it. I iced it and have been taking ibuprofen. This has been going on since end of July. I think its time for MRI and or X-ray? Any advice? Thank you!
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your hip. It has not have gone better even after 4months .I think you are right that you should get its x-ray and MRI done to know the pathology. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovering. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
