Hello, I m trying to distinguish what might be the cause (or causes) of the swelling of my forearm. The area of the swelling starts below the outside of my right elbow, about halfway through where the ECU and FCU muscle are. There is no pain, just swelling, and movement is not restricted at all. I m 25 I went to the gym for the first time ever exactly one week ago. As result of that, last week I also had DOMS in my arms for a few days. The DOMS subsided about two days go and I thought my arm was on its way back to normalcy until I notice the swelling today. I few other things to mention: The swelling is on my right arm, and I am also right handed. I have a metal plate on the same elbow that has been there since I was 9 without any complications. Also, last night I played tug-of-war with my feisty 70lb dog, I game we playoften. And this weekend I also had an irregular intake of wine and champagne. I do not drink, but this weekend was a special occasion. I ve also been attempting to eat more protein and carbs lately in hopes to workout more and gain muscle mass, so my food consumption has change slightly to accommodate. It s nothing drastic though, just some omelettes, steaks, salad, and wheat bread. Once again, there is no physical discomfort, it s just swollen and visibly different from my other arm. I wanted to gain more muscle but after one 40 minutes trip to the gym I cannot believe results would show this fast and this great. I hope I ve given enough info to at least limit the scope of investigation. Thanks for the help!
