What Could Cause Sudden Pain At The Right Side In The Back Despite Experiencing Any Injury?

Hello, For the last few days, it feels like someone punched me in the back on my right side. No has hit me and no other bumps. It has seemed to be getting better but it still hurts VERY BADLY to take a deep breath. I have had my appendix removed several years ago. Would just like some guesstimations of what it may be. I am 54 years old. Thank you

Hi,

Unless you have some urine complaints your pain seems to be a muscle spasm caused by a sudden ,body movement in a unusual body posture. You can use hot pack. Spray muscle relaxant locally for instant relief. Take muscle relaxant like Itercoxib over the counter along with anti inflammatory drug like Ibuprofen (half of each tab. three times a day after food). It should go in 3-5 days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
