What Could Cause Small White Chunks In Stool?

My 9 year old daughter is having problems with her poop. She was telling me there was white stringy stuff in her poop. So I told her next time she pooped to let me see. It turns out it looks like small white chunks. Her stool is not like diarrhea but it is soft. What should I do for her?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Most probably the white chunks you noticed may be the proglotids of tape worm, an intestinal parasite.
Treatment with NIclosan will help.
Microscopic examination of stools reveal ova of tapeworm.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
