What Could Cause Slightly Enlarged Nodes In Neck?

Hi im currently away working and noticed that the nodes on my neck as slighlty enlarged. Its been like this for about for weeks now, i did see the doctor before i left the UK but he just told me that it was an infection and if they got any bigger i should return. As its been 4 weeks and no sign of improvement i thought i would look into it. Can you help put some light on it for me?

Hi,

I must say that enlargement of nodes is sign of infection. If nodes are enlarged in the neck there can be infection either inside oral cavity like teeth, tongue, gums, tonsils etc. Also infections in the face can also cause enlarged nodes. And parotid infections can result in node enlargement of neck. Please consult a dentist or an ENT specialist as soon as possible.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
