What Could Cause Ear Pain?

i am having a pain in my ear and gradually it turns into a pain in the peripheral area of the ear and headache also.i have found that i am not feeling comfortable in talking on phone and using earplugs it is becoming worse.
can you tell me the reason?

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having acute infection in ear, either internal or external ear giving rise pain in the ear and surrounding area.
Due to swelling or edema you feel uncomfortable on phone or putting ear plug.
You might require one course of antibiotic medicine for 3-5days.
Put some antibiotic ear drops.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
