What Could Cause A Periodic Twinge Of Pain In The Rib Cage?

I have a periodic twinge of pain (similar to the feeling you might get in your elbow if you hit your funny bone) about 2-3 inches below my right breast under the rib cage. It started about a week ago, only happening once or twice last week, but several times yesterday. I feel it less this morning, but can feel it slightly when I twist my torso.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be costochondritis. As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
