What Could Be The Reason For Having A Lump On My Baby S Shoulder?
My 6 month old has a lump on his shoulder, its maybe about the size of a prune. Its not hurting him and you can move it about. Our GP has referred us on to the pediatrician in our area and says that it feels very benine. Just want some peace of mind. baby is fine and growing, eating well. This lump isnt bothering him in anyway and we can touch it and move it without him paying attention. It has only come up in the last week or so, I havent noticed it before
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic. You description almost fits into Lipoma a benign tumor. It may grow bigger in size or it may stop growing after some time. If it is inconvenient or looks odd to outsiders, you may get it excised by a surgeon. If you are still worried you get a biopsy done and send it for histopathological examination to know exactly what it is and whether it is benign or malignant. Hope this answer will serve your purpose Please feel free to ask any more queries if required Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD;DCH Associate professor of pediatrics
