What Could Be The Cause Of Chills And Difficulty In Swallowing With Negative Result On Strep Test?

This happens every year. I am now 22 years old and I have what seems to be a hole in my left tonsil. It is hard to swallow and it keeps filling with puss and blood and it smells awful. At the ER earlier today a Strep Test came back negative, and I have had very bad chills. What can I do?

Hi, I am Dr Samiron Roy;
Let me tell you that the hole in your tonsil is actually Crypts (small pits). Everybody has this. when you swallow the chewed food, small quantity of the food enters this crypts. usually it comes out when you drink water. In some cases this does not come out and it gets rotten in 2 days just like any food. So it smells awful. If this gets infected then pus will form. then you will get fever, chills, throat pain on swallowing.
You get Throat swab c/s done, blood counts done.
Start with Chlorohexidine gurgle tid,
Tab Cefixime 200mg bid,
Tab Zerodol SP 1 bid,
Tab Chymoral Forte 1 tid
Tab Omez 1 od

Take for 1 week and inform me.
