What Could Be The Cause For Swelling And Red Lines On Legs?

Hi my brother is a paraplegic since dec 2012 has swelling in left leg with a weird looking red line going down his the color is good and he does not have pitting edema either his doctor treated with antibiotics for suspected UTI a week ago but his leg remains the same! Your help is much appreciated thank you

HI. IF only one limb is affected , the problem is likely to be local only. The red line can be an inflammed vein or so. As there is oedema, better to get this checked for deep vein thrombosis. This can be a serious problem in a later stage.
