What Could A Learning Disability While Being Diagnosed With Vitamin D Deficiency Be Indicative Of In A 9-year-old Child?

I have a 9 year old boy that has out of control fits not all the time but they get really bad. I have taken him to the doctors and they have run tests but the only thing theyhave found is that he is vitamin d defficent. I give him the vitamin daily but he does ahave a learning disability and he has been suspended from school for the second time. Could there be something wrong with him that the doctors may have missed?

Hello,

Learning disability could be due to some other reason and not due to vitamin D deficiency. The vitamin D levels should be checked for correction. Thereafter, you can consult a psychiatrist for clinical assessment for learning disability.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
