What Could A Hard, Mildly Painful Lump On Inner Buttocks Indicate?

I have a hard semi painful lump on my inner butt cheek, im a female. Its been about two days. Im concerned because i dont want it to be cancerous. Ive had them before and they usually go away on their own. Just wanted a little advice and anything that might help .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello welcome to HCM. i wonder if it is due to fall on the butt. If it is so, it will take time to heal . Buttocks is the area where there are fat collection within tough fibrous lining. So the swelling is localised , painful and healing also very slow. If there is no fall, suspecting tumour, then there must be other symptoms. I hope definetly you will have other complaints related to lower abdomen, pelvis, swelling else where mostly in groin. If so you have to get one abdomino pelvic scan to know the diagnosis. I hope i cleared your doubts.Take care.
