What Color Is Guanfacine 1mg?

Hello. I have two scripts for Guanfacin 1mg, the original is white, oval with imprint AN . Doctor wanted to increase my dosage to 2 mg but that was not available so supplier sent another script for Guanfacine 1 mg with the count doubled, however this tablet looks totally different and says it is generic for Intuniv Er. These pill are pink, round with imprint 850 and a faint imprint of what appears to be a new moon. When I look up Intuniv Er it refers to use for ADHD... ? Can you help me determine if I do indeed have Guanfacine? Then you.

Hi,

You are right intuniv is used for ADHS. However, it is Guanfacine and you should be relax. In fact, Guanfacine is used for ADHD as off label but it's formula is Guanfacine which is your same drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
