What Causes Yellow Vaginal Discharge?

Hi Doctor, Im confused when i saw a yellowish stain on my underwear this morning. It has an oily texture and has an odor. Im not sure where it came from. Probably its a discharge since i was sleeping when it happened. Im also confused if it came from my anus or vagina.

Yellow discharge with odour can be due to vaginal infection called bacterial vaginosis.It is a sexually transmitted disease
You need to visit gynaecologist to confirm the diagnosis by vaginal swab smear microscopy.
It can be treated by antibiotics like metro for 7-10 days.
Maintain regular genital hygiene,also take a wash after sex and urination.
Avoid sex while on treatment and 1 week after.
Simultaneous treatment of partner is necessary if genital related symptoms present.
