Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Yellow Stool, Abdominal Pain And Nausea?
I just had ultra sound today to see what is causing yellow/white stools (2 weeks now) plus abdominal pain and nausea. The pictures showed gall bladder full of sludge but no gallstones. And much inflammation. I m waiting to hear from surgery to see a surgeon to go over the pictures and determine if/what kind of surgery is needed. My internist is sending me to the surgeon. My question is, Is there a possibility that the pancreas and liver could be involved as a cause to my symptoms? If so, how? Thank you for taking my question. Sincerely, Betty
The ultrasound has shown that there is inflammation of the gall bladder specifically if they have not mentioned any changes in the other organs, it's likely because there is nothing significant found. The symptoms of pain abdomen and nausea are likely related to the gall bladder inflammation.
I would suggest you talk to your doctor about the ultrasound reports and clear your doubts. Once your doctor sees the reports and as per the requirement with best of his knowledge, he will suggest you better options for management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Manisha Auradkar,
