What Causes Yellow Discoloration Of Eyes And Skin Along With Tiredness?

Hello...just returned back from Florida yesterday. My husband was having signs of yellow jaundice, clay cool stools, whites of his eyes and skin yellow and tired a lot. We went into walk in clinic in St Augustine Florida and they took blood tests. He does not have hepatitis but 5 other blood tests were vey high number from the range of numbers for normal range. He stopped taking his Wilco and Evita and is eating a very low fat diet. What my worry is, must he see a Doctor soon. Is he endangering his Liver by not going on meds.? My Dr office is closed for the Holiday, so what should we do wait till Monday when dr.office is open or go to emergency a the hospital. I will look forward in hearing from you in what we should do. Sincerely, Ginny

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In my opinion this seems to be case of obstructive jaundice. I would like to know more about the test results he got and what parameters were high to get a better understanding of the situation here. Well, according to me, you should take your husband to the emergency, with all the reports. This would ease out your worry and he will get the necessary treatment there (like fluids or antibiotics).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
