General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the worsened condition of knee after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery does indicate various possible conditions as:
- Post operative fibrosis
- Mal alignment or ill alignment
- Friction of joint capsule or surface of bones
- Residual inflammation at the operated site

In my clinic, I do recommend an MRI of the knee for the fine tissue details at this point for further guidelines and management.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
