What Causes Whitish Strings In Brown Stools?

Hey, I have a question concerning my stool. I have been noticing recently that I have brown stool with whitish strings in and around it.. it doesn't float however, it goes to the bottom of the toilet and it doesn't smell.. it is also not difficult to pass.. What could be the problem?
